Upcomng events

Hi everyone,

A quick update of what's happening in the near future.

July
  • We are having a very informal AgileScotland lunch this monday in Edinburgh at 12:30.  Email me if you'd like to join us.  It'll be somewhere central for about an hour, nothing formal, just a bite to eat and a chat.
  • There are still just a few places available on BCS / AgileScotland / VISION consulting "Introduction to Agile" day course on the 18th of July at Paisley University.  I'm slightly biased since I'm running the day, but if you are interested in learning about agile or if you have colleagues, customers or colleagues who are, then the course is top-notch and very, very good value for money.  You can find more details here: http://www.glasgow.bcs.org/events.htm#Jul.
  • AgileScotland is officially on its summer holidays during July, so there are no evening meetings planned for July.

August

During August we have two evening events planned.
  • Nancy Van Schooenderwoert  will be talking about a case study from a large UK financial organisation titled "U-turn from Waterfall to Agile".   We're also hoping that Nancy can make a return trip to discuss her experinces with using agile in embedded environments..  Nancy and I are still firming up dates and locations.
  • Fraser Speirs will be giving an evening talk on Cocoa Programming on the Apple Mac on the 28th of August, in Glasgow.
September

I am planning two sessions in September.
  • Tom Gilb will be running an evening session and day time training course - more details to come.
  • Harvey Wheaton, will be discussing his ongoing experiences of adopting Agile at Electronic Arts - a company you may have heard of ...
Finally, if you're in central Edinburgh next Monday lunchtime and would like to meet for the very first AgileScotland lunch then click reply.
