Tom Gilb one day course 18th September - more details

Hi again,

I'm posting this on behalf of Mark Davidson who is organising this course for AgileScotland.

This is a very rare opportunity to learn from Tom Gilb, one of Software Development industries true gurus and the creator of one of the first "agile" methods (EVO).  And since there is no middle man, we are able to run the course at at least half the normal commercial cost.

I've seen Tom talk several times, I've devoured three of his books, and attended two of his courses.  My own take on Agile and software development has been heavily influenced by his work.  Tom's style is often (deliberately and unashamedly) controversial.  He neither pulls his punches nor minces his words.  He doesn't need to - he has decades of being right to back him up.  Please contact Mark below to register your interest.

> Tom Gilb, author of the classic Principles of Software Engineering Management and more recently, Competitive Engineering , will be coming to Scotland to run a training course on 18th September.

The venue will either be central Edinburgh or Glasgow.

We are looking to base it around his Competitive Engineering content where he takes regular software engineering and shapes it to help you stay a step ahead of your competitors. He can also cover some of Evolutionary Project Management (Evo) ideas.

I've seen some slides around these topics and they look really good and very detailed.

As always we'll be looking to keep the costs to a minimum (hopefully around £200 or so) and that depends largely on attendance. So, if you believe you'll be able to attend please drop me a line to let me know so that I can judge initial interest (I'm not looking for a firm commitment - just an indication at the moment). Your preference to location would be useful too.

As usual, after the course, Tom will also present an (obligatory) AgileScotland evening session!

Cheers,
--Mark.
